Will smith is a great actor and can play many roles, if you are asking if he is a dead ringer for Mr. Obama I have to say no, the ears are somewhat similar but that is about it. But he would also be my choice.

Will Smith played Mohammed Ali pretty well and he looks a damn sight more like Obama than he does Ali .
Bottom line is he’s a good actor and good actors always fit into their roles .

I think that Will Smith should get his beard and his moustache shaved. He should smile with his eyes open more. He needs to get the Barack Obama haircut. And… they need to put a little bump by his nose and they will look like twins……..almost.

i love will smith, and i adore obama. (GObama!!), but I honestly feel like they could find a different actor to play the role of Obama in any movie. Not that I wouldn’t watch the movie if will smith was in it, but I think that they could find some one with many more similarities. they both have sum gianormous ears tho. BAHAHA

Will Smith is awesome and can play almost any part. They definitely have marked physical differences, but they don’t have to look exactly the same as long as we all know who he’s portraying. All in all, they do look like they could be related.

I assume there is no actual movie about him but seriously come on. Why even make a movie about Obama now? He isn’t even sworn in and who knows what he would do in the movie. I guess people don’t care about a story, maybe it would be boring and will smith would have to play obama in order to get people to see any movie about the pres-elect. In short, no, Will Smith is not a good pick for Obama, their are plenty of light-skinned black actors out there, there is this thing called scouting or auditions where they find great aspiring actors to play famous people and not just idols. Good example; John Adams on HBO played by Paul Giamatti– A good example of why acting is important and not just looks or popularity, granted Giamatti has worked with Tom Hanks before but that is a personal pick, not a popular one.

There is no resemblance between the 2 lads. Their faces are absolutely different. Will has got ears that are running awaying from his head, and Barack has darker lips. If you look at will you should notice his face is rounder, whereas Barack is kinda square and lean. i like Will as an actor and enjoy his movies tremendously but i suspect Terence Howard would fit the part much better, but he would need to go on a Masai diet for a few months to lose plenty of pounds!

Yes, I was excited to find this because I have been saying this for a long time.
In eight years after President Obama has changed the world they should cast Will Smith to play Barack, The age will be just right and it will be an awesome movie.

NO!!!! i’m sorry, but no. i like will smith. he’s great. but in no way could i EVER imagine him as barack. they are nothing alike. i think of will smith as a joker. NEVER could he display the type of LEADERSHIP necessary to play barack obama. IF I WERE TO USE A BIG TIME ACTOR (wich i wouldn’t) i would use the one who has been trying to be what barack really is his entire career. DENZEL. not because of looks. but because Denzel carries himself VERY MUCH like barack obama. when i first saw barack win the senate, i told myself, “wow… this guy is the REAL version of what denzel always wanted to be.” you know…. the black man who’s in charge. the black man who’s always right. the black man who steps into a room full of white people and immediately has there respect. no way in hell could will smith ever play this role. not anything like denzel.
