For those of you who don’t know about this Cuil.com. “Cuil.com” is a new search engine which was launch last sunday by former Google employees. While trying this new search engine, here are some of my experiences.
1.) Need to refresh the main page to show.I tried this on three different browsers(or is it my connection?).
2.) No Page 2 and so on at the moment (high server load?).
3.) When I use keyword “xyberlog”, it shows my blogcatalog’s profile. But hey, this photo really intrigues me, where is this coming from? and what is this? I don’t even have this photo on my entire site.

My impression? Nothing Impressive.

Interesting! I cuil’d “goddess” and got some pretty random results. Don’t know that I’ll use cuil over google, but an interesting play nonetheless

Cuil is way off target…
for example, search on “How to earn money from the Internet” and it shows Internet architecture and hardware stuffs.
Scour is better. http://www.scour.com/invite/ezrich

Hi,
I’ve tried this search engine out and to tell you the truth I personally don’t like the layout, I for one will be sticking with Google yahoo and Ask.

Cuil.com seems to offer something new, but the feedback from some of my friends is a bit controversial . Need more time to try it out.

I think when people do a Google search for “miserable failure” in the near future, they’ll get a return for Cuil. Lots of promise, poor delivery!

Well, we did a search on Cuil for Dexter cattle…nadda, zip, nothing! What is with that! Thousands of results on Google. No threat here.

Apparently Cuil was not quite ready for launch during the first day or two - many medium long tail queries did not return results at all, and even general queries returned way fewer results than they should have considering Cuil’s claims of having indexed so many pages already. They did improve somewhat afterward, however, and seem to be picking up more results and increasing relevance as more people have been testing out the engine.
In the long run, I hope they get things together and perform well enough to compete with the major search engines and then maybe do some advertising. I would like to see more serious competitors to Google in order to hold their power in check and encourage more transparency overall.

I’m not a fan of Cuil either. The layout takes some real getting used to and search results for the types of searches I do just aren’t on par with Google or Yahoo.

and a little freaky about the picture that’s not on your site and not set up by you. It conveys an image that may or may not support what your blog/work are about. …. that ain’t cool. Glad I found you on entrecard. I’m enjoying this blog and have subscribed.
