Facebook is getting complicated. The social network just introduced the category of “trusted friend,” not to be confused with the prior categories of “close friends,” “acquaintances,” “restricted” buddies, and authorized stalkers. Trusted friends are like super-friends.
They have special powers!

If you get locked out of your Facebook account, three to five “Trusted Friends” can send you access codes.

That’s right. Facebook says it now has 120 million members. By my reckoning, that’s 2% of the world’s 6 billion people.

If you think that’s astonishing, consider that there’s still plenty of low hanging fruit for Facebook to pluck. I know plenty of tech savvy people, many of them under 30, who have yet to sign up. Inevitably, these people will give in.
